The company’s mission began when a hard-working employee fell into addiction and as a replacement hired a retired veteran to fill his spot while seeking professional help. They explain, “This man [the new hire] was injured in service to his country and through the military became addicted to pain pills. He followed the wrong path for a while before pulling himself up by the bootstraps and getting himself clean and sober. No one would hire him! He was injured serving you and me and no one would give him a chance! We are free because he was brave. We were just not going to let that happen. We started a policy right then and there that our guys in the factory would be hired from recovery programs.” Now they have a wait list for job positions in their factory and the retired vet is still part of their company. This job for them is so much more than a means of income, but a support system that truly understands them.
