Jennifer has over 10 years’ experience in optical care and is certified by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Ophthalmology as an ophthalmic assistant. She is also certified to serve as a surgical assistant on multiple ophthalmic technologies, including Wavelight and LensX. Right after patients meet with Dr. Vold, Jennifer walks our patients through their surgical procedure. She assists in scheduling, answers any questions our patients may have, and is with them during their procedure and after.
According to Jennifer:
"I like the fact that I get to see our patients through the entire process. They stop and see me and I help them plan and get ready for their surgery. At this point, they are always a little nervous with lots of questions, and I like the opportunity to be there for them and walk them through the process. Then, I like being the familiar face they see the day of their surgery, as I am in the surgery with them. It means a lot for them to see someone they know, and it means a lot to me to get to be that person. After surgery, we meet again! It is so exciting for both myself and our patients when they get to take their first peak with their new vision. The thing I like the most about working at Vold Vision is having the opportunity to be on the cutting edge of eye care and bringing new technologies and procedures to our patients."
