"My "why" for having LASIK is this guy and our love of travel. Now, I have always had some near-sighted astigmatism but I never really thought that it affected me that much. I mean, I wasn't getting into fender benders or anything and I could read the fine print on things if I squinted my eyes just right so I didn't see the problem. It was only when we went to Colorado on our honeymoon that I realized I couldn't see nearly as far nor as crisply as I would like to. I wasn't able to enjoy the views of the Rockies in the way that my husband was. I wasn't able to appreciate the gradual changes in the colors of the sandstone at red rocks like he was. reading menu boards at new restaurants where I wasn't familiar with the food? Forget it. Fast forward 3 years, and we are planning to go back to Colorado for our anniversary. this time, thanks to dr. Vold and my LASIK surgery, I'll be able to actually see those purple mountain's majesty with perfect vision. he has truly given me the gift of perfect sight, which is a gift that keeps on giving!" -Sarah
