  • Becoming a part of our academy also gives you a 10% discount on all contacts, glasses, and accessories.

  • NOTE:  please put an asterisk that says 10% cannot be coupled with a vision plan.

Advantages of Contact Lenses

After a thorough eye examination by one of our Vold Vision optometrists, we will discuss if contact lenses are the appropriate solution for your vision needs. Contacts are a great way to see the world clearly, without wearing glasses. The world of contact lenses is always improving. Technology has made many new-age types of contact lenses available to the public, including:

  • Daily wear contact lenses
  • Daily disposable contact lenses
  • Bifocal contact lenses
  • Astigmatism contact lenses
  • Multifocal contact lenses
  • Basic lenses
  • HD contact lenses

Even more intriguing, are now developed with an advanced engineered design that results in a more comfortable fit, with 9 out of every 10 contact lens users reporting no discomfort.

NOTE: Every Contact Lens wear should have a pair of glasses to oxygenate their eye at night. When you sleep your eyelids help heal add oxygen and oils to your eye film that your contacts float on. It's very important you give your eye a break from contacts and when you sleep it the best time.

Advantages of Glasses

For those who may not be ready to wear contact lenses, the eye care specialists at Vold Vision will assist in fitting our patients for the proper eyeglasses. We have the latest trends and styles from conservative and simple, to bold and sophisticated. Similar to contact lenses, eyeglasses have a number of advantages:

  • Eyeglasses are less expensive than contact lenses.
  • Eyeglasses do not exacerbate dry or sensitive eyes as contacts can do.
  • Contacts can fall out and get lost, whereas glasses stay put on the face.
  • Eyeglass frames require less maintenance or special cleaning products.
  • Glasses protect the eyes from a host of environmental elements.

At Vold Vision we also have the latest trends and styles for out in the sun too! Headed out to a Razorback game, a day on the lake, shopping fun at the mall etc., we can take care of you.  We have countless options for both men, women, teens, and children.

Common Questions

How often do I need a contact lens exam?

We recommend annual eye exams for our patients to make sure contact lenses are still working to help improve your overall vision. Contact lens prescription length may vary, but they do expire eventually. This is why exams are so important so that we can understand your current vision needs.

Why does a contact lens exam cost more than a glasses exam?

Contact lenses by nature involve additional diagnostic testing than eyeglasses require. You will receive the same great benefits of an exam for glasses, but lenses are a bit more intricate. Contact lenses also come in a variety of sizes too. Which size do you need? This is part of the examination process.

Why should I consider buying an annual supply?

Purchasing an annual supply of contact lenses will help save you money, time, and will ensure you always have lenses available for continued eye health. By becoming a Vold Vision Eyecare Club Member, and purchasing an annual supply of contacts will allow you the greatest cost savings too, offering the lowest price for your lenses.
