1 week ago today I had the SMILE procedure done at Vold Vision. BEST. DECISION. EVER! 1 day post op I had 20/20 vision! I never thought I’d see the day where I didn’t wake up scrambling around to find my glasses just to make it to the bathroom to put in my contacts for a 12hr shift at the hospital, but here we are and I couldn’t be more thankful! <br /> The entire staff at Vold has been amazing! The front desk staff always greets me with a warm and positive attitude. John in scheduling worked with me to get pre op testing, surgery date, and post op appointments made that were perfect for me and my work schedule. Dr. Moser saw me for my pre op testing and has been following my progress during the post op period. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has answered all of my questions/concerns thus far! And last, but not least, Dr. Vold on surgery day was phenomenal! Even though the procedure itself is very quick, he continuously reassured me and kept the experience very calming and relaxing. He mentioned multiple times how excited he was for me and I cannot thank him enough for giving me this new and much improved vision! <br /> 10/10 definitely recommend Dr. Vold & his entire team! Thursday was the last day I’d have to wear contacts or glasses except for SUNGLASSES! Thank you Vold Vision! I’ve been in glasses since I was 6 or 7…that’s 28ish years! I have been putting off getting my eye surgery for years until I came to Vold Vision then I immediately knew I had come to the right place (visited from out of town). During each appointment ranging from the front desk staff, the doctors, the patient care counselor…. Everyone makes you feel at home! Each member of the staff goes above and beyond to help make you feel comfortable, answers any questions you may have, and that you are receiving the care/treatment you are paying for (plus more). I have had difficulty with far-sightedness and astigmatism so I elected to receive the SMILE laser eye surgery procedure and I was very nervous prior to doing so. John was very informative during the entire process and let me know exactly what to expect. The procedure didn’t even last 5 minutes total (yes, I’m serious). It was painless and Dr. Vold and his staff during the procedure were great. The facility and equipment were very advanced, clean, and you could tell they take pride in the services they offer. They truly go the extra mile for their patients. Immediately after the procedure, I felt a slight haziness with my vision (normal and expected) but within a few hours afterward I was able to read street signs, billboards, license plates, etc. without relying on my glasses for the first time in over a decade. The next day during my post-op appointment in less than 24 hours after my procedure they measured my eyes and I was already seeing 20/20. I HIGHLY recommend anyone to visit this clinic for any future eye consultations/procedures and would give them more than a 10/10 if I could because the surgery was truly life-changing. More

I started noticing my left eyelid dropping in 2019, but all my friends and family told me it was in my head. No one else saw it, even when I pointed it out. As time passed, I noticed the droop was progressing, which really start to devastate me because I’ve always liked my eyes. Even worse, no one else seemed to see it but me; as someone who lives with my face, I knew it what I was seeing. I’m getting married in May 2022 and have been desperately trying to find a solution for this before we take wedding pictures I will have forever. I don’t have time for surgery right now, and I had heard about a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that may fix it, but I was nervous to take a risk. I had an appointment with Dr. Sharon Napier last week and it went better than I could have ever imagined! Hanna and I looked at pictures of me from the last two years and I showed her my progression, and amazingly enough, someone finally saw what I had been talking about the last two years. I felt seen. Hanna and Dr. Napier told me about a new eye drop made for adults with acquired ptosis (exactly what I thought my diagnosis would be) and said I was a perfect candidate. We tried the drops during my appointment, and miraculously enough, 20 minutes after putting them in, my left eyelid had raised and now matched the right eyelid. I am so relieved to have found a solution that can remedy my current situation without a procedure since right now I don’t have the time for one! Both Hanna and Dr. Napier had wonderful bedside manner and were very empathetic. They gained my trust by being honest with me during my appointment, and I plan on going back when my condition has progressed and it’s time for the surgery. 6/5 stars. ⭐️ More

I just got home from my Lasik SMILE surgery. My vision is still a little foggy(normal), but I can already tell I'm seeing more clearly. I can't thank Vold Vision enough for being so professional and comforting before and during this procedure. I was very nervous going into it, but I was super surprised at how fast everything went and how good I feel, just an hour or two after it's done. His list of first procedures performed in the country is lengthy. Dr. Vold is skilled at an amazing array of surgical procedures to treat a multitude of eye issues. Awesome experience at vold vision of Fayetteville. I drove 2 1/2 hours to go here for lasik smile, I would recommend everyone to do so also. I have read the bad reviews about wait times, but let’s be real if you want quality/great service at times you will have to sacrifice time because they are busy! I had been told by my optometrist and an opthomologist that performed cataract surgery on me, that there was nothing that could be done. Thanks to Google, I self diagnosed Adult Strabismus and found Dr. Napier by searching for Strabismus specialist. We had our first appointment on April 27 and she performed the surgery yesterday, May 13. Twenty four hours later my vision is near perfect. I am not seeing double, tv is very clear, depth perception is back where it should be and I am able to walk without running into objects. The results are so much better than I ever expected. Dr. Napier is absolutely fantastic as well as Hannah and April. On a scale of 1-5, I give them a 6!! More

I has a Clear Lens Exchange procedure and would recommend it to anyone who is eligible. I have no vision issues now, no contacts, no glasses, and see as well as I ever did with contacts. Highly, highly recommend the Vold Vision team! Every person I interacted with was happy, passionate, and professional, from beginning to end, from the front desk all the way to the billing department. Dr. Moser was amazing! She was so thorough with my eye exams and took the time to make sure all the measurements were correct. She also made me feel comfortable with how the procedure would go, as well as all the vitamins and drops I'd need to take. My procedure went very well. I got the SMILE procedure, and I can honestly say I didn’t feel any pain during the operation, just slight pressure. Visually, it's like a laser light show. It's quite a trip. Then you just see bright lights and blurry blobs moving around in a circular fashion during the cornea removal portion. It was gentle with no pain, just slight pressure. Dr. Vold worked quickly and efficiently, making the entire process only about 5 minutes long. I always felt like I was in good hands. And of course, the results have been incredible! The very next day, I was already seeing 20/20. I can see details I've never noticed before. It's truly a life changing procedure! Thanks Vold Team! More

Went for Lasik. I was at -2.55 for both eyes. Started seeing good again after. Been 20/15 after procedure. Best thing to have gone for and they treat you well during the whole process instead of others who shove you onto a room and let you wait till the operation. They will come and periodically see if you need something while waiting. More

I had such a great experience at Vold Vision. John Hensley was excellent. Was funny and really helped take the edge off of being nervous. McKenzie was very friendly and put you at ease right before surgery. I can say that every encounter I had at Vold Vision was great. Besides the great interactions I had at Vold Vision the Lasek surgery went really good. It's been about 24 hrs since my surgery and my eyes have never been this good with out corrective lenses. I had really impaired vision and was not a candidate for Lasik. I was concerned that my vision could not be corrected. Dr. Vold and his staff determined I was a good candidate for the Clear Lens Replacement. Dr. Vold and his staff were extremely thorough and attentive with the pre-op exams, surgeries and follow up appointments. The surgeries were very successful and I am amazed at my vision. I began to have double vision about a year ago. I am pretty upbeat but started to get really sad. I used to dance and enjoy the space around me but now I had trouble even walking around the room or down stairs. then I was referred to Dr. Napier. she operated on my eyes and I could immediately see better. my eyes were working together again!!! I've had glasses since I was in first grade, so after having to depend on glasses/contacts for everything in my daily life for the last 24 or so years, I finally decided to take the leap and schedule a consultation. Best service you can have when answering your questions that range from financing or just what to expect. From consultation to surgery and then to recovery, everything the staff at Vold told me that I would experience is exactly word for word. Since I was qualified for PRK or LasEK, my recovery was a little longer than some, but I do not regret it for one minute having it done. I'm typing this with 20/15 vision (Better than Perfect 20/20), for someone that had a negative 6 prescription and a astigmatism in each eye, I would have been fine with 20/20. I had PRK Lasek done 3 weeks ago at Vold! Everyone has been super nice and friendly from the beginning. Dr. Mcfarland answered all my questions at my consultation and did an excellent job at explaining the process. It helped that he had PRK done as well. Christine was super helpful with the financial piece and was such a sweet resource for me. During my operation, I was super nervous and freaked out. I tend to make things seem much worse than they really are. Karen helped calm me down, made me laugh and was my cheerleader the entire procedure. Dr. Vold was so kind and talked me all the way through it. The procedure was super quick and painless. My recovery wasn’t quick but was gradual. I didn’t have any pain; however, there was some discomfort and light sensitivity in the first 3-5 days. I had headaches the first week after but after that it was much better. Use your prescribed eye drops, get plenty of rest... I took lots of naps the first couple of weeks... and put those preservative free eye drops in the fridge. You’ll thank me later! At my second post op appointment, I was having some haziness on my right eye. Dr. McFarland gave me some Lotemax ointment to put in my eyes at night before bed. That helped tremendously. By my 3rd post op appointment, my right eye had cleared up and had improved to 20/25 vision. My left eye had been 20/20 since the second appointment. PRK has a longer recovery but I feel like it has been worth it! Highly recommend Vold Vision for your eye needs. More

I had the Visian ICL surgery since I was not a candidate for LASIK (thin corneas). My eyes are also too sensitive for contacts and eye lubricating drops. My eye doctor practically said he doesn't know what else to suggest as I was prescribed the most sensitive lenses already. I'm really happy with my vision. It's been a life-changing surgery that has greatly improved my life. I would suggest anyone eligible get it, since you don't lose any of your cornea with this procedure. Wait times aren't too bad. The most I have waited is 11 minutes or so. All of the staff are SUPER friendly. The most nicest staff I have ever interacted with. If dessert was a person, it would be everyone here. You don't need to be an athelete or beauty queen to get this surgery. With glasses, so many small things hindered my daily life. My job is a lot more pleasant now without my glasses! I can move quickly between -14F and then to hot areas, traveling is no longer a nuisance, and I can be so much more active in my life. I'm way more physically active without glasses or contacts! If you had a New year's resolution to lose weight, consider getting LASIK or any of the other procedures. It's great having 20/20 vision in 2020 😉 More

Just attended the After Hours event and it was great! Staff is very friendly and answered any questions I had after they explained what they do and how it all works. Definitely recommend the after hours event if you're looking into getting LASIK! I'm not sure if I'm a candidate just yet, I need more testing to see what my options are but I'll update my review once I figure it out!*UPDATE*I went back for my more thorough consult and unfortunately my corneas are too thin for any of the LASIK type procedures, but I can still do an ICL procedure. The staff was really informative and helpful with providing me with information about the ICL surgery, but it is a little more expensive so I'm gonna have to save a bit more before I can get it done. However, I have LOVED the whole experience with Vold Vision and I will definitely schedule this surgery when I can! More

I’ve had inexplicable eye pressure changes since spring of last year but decided to switch from Boozman-Hof to Vold Vision due the great experience I had with Dr. McFarland and Dr. Tanaka. Dr. Tanaka instructed me to come into clinic for eye pressure checks anytime I felt a pain (in the hopes of catching when my eye pressure is high since it’s spiked before) and told the front desk the same instructions with no need of appointment. However, today, I could clearly hear a lady complaining about me since this was my second time for a check and was very rude during the exam. Very disappointed. And I was the only person there so it wasn’t like they were busy. Edit: thank you, Jessica, for taking the time to reach out and apologize on behalf of the person in question. Just attended the After Hours event and it was great! Staff is very friendly and answered any questions I had after they explained what they do and how it all works. Definitely recommend the after hours event if you're looking into getting LASIK! I'm not sure if I'm a candidate just yet, I need more testing to see what my options are but I'll update my review once I figure it out! *UPDATE* I went back for my more thorough consult and unfortunately my corneas are too thin for any of the LASIK type procedures, but I can still do an ICL procedure. The staff was really informative and helpful with providing me with information about the ICL surgery, but it is a little more expensive so I'm gonna have to save a bit more before I can get it done. However, I have LOVED the whole experience with Vold Vision and I will definitely schedule this surgery when I can! More

The most I have waited is 11 minutes or so. All of the staff are SUPER friendly. The most nicest staff I have ever interacted with. If dessert was a person, it would be everyone here. You don't need to be an athelete or beauty queen to get this surgery. With glasses, so many small things hindered my daily life. My job is a lot more pleasant now without my glasses! I can move quickly between -14F and then to hot areas, traveling is no longer a nuisance, and I can be so much more active in my life. I'm way more physically active without glasses or contacts! From the initial open house I went to, the pre-op measurements and walk through, actual day of surgery and the several follow up appointments after everyone I dealt with was always friendly, informative and took their time to explain the process and procedures thoroughly. I found the price competitive and affordable, enjoyed the convenience of multiple locations (had the surgery at the main clinic and follow ups at the office in Wal-Mart), and the people and service top notch. Only complaint was that on the day of surgery, my initial appointment was pushed out by a couple hours and then spent another hour plus in the waiting room past even my revised appointment time, but understand that sometimes other procedures can have complications that push the schedule out. The actual surgery was simple on my end, mildly uncomfortable at worst. Yes, first few days after in recovery was painful and unpleasant on my eyes but no worse than they described prior to surgery and by 3 days post-op I was back to getting around and living life normally- except with incredibly improved vision! It has been a life changer and my only regret is not having done this sooner. More

Vold Vision is currently the office of 4 doctors and several optometrists. I was able to see all the MDs and one optometrist. The Medical Staff excels and I would gladly recommend them to anyone. They are caring and knowledgeable professionals. They have a full array of testing equipment and in house surgicalsuite. I had 3 very successful surgeries. The office space is beautiful, comfortable and offers extra amenities like a work area, two separate tv areas, magazines that are both interesting and educational. All of my Medicare and Blue Cross claims were promptly paid so I surmise the billing department knows what they are doing. They offer you 5 ways to evaluate the service so I am going to hope that means they take the evaluations seriously. I had a different clerical staff error on each of my visits but nothing that endangered my treatment, just minor to major inconveniences. I am detailing them on the private evaluation and hope you as a future patron will not encounter them as a little more training should handle it. More

I had glaucoma surgery by Dr Vold through a research study and Dr McFarland, Ken and William are all wonderful. The entire experience was excellent. From the front desk to the clinical staff and surgical team. Everyone was so great and friendly. I cannot say enough about the techs. They all work so hard and do such a great job! There is a Dr. (I think? maybe Technician?) here named Nickole, who goes by Cola; she is one of the most special humans I've met, and I give this place 5 Stars because they are lucky enough to have and keep her there. I went in for a Contacts appointment, but had accidentally been booked as Glasses (much shorter time window). Understandable mistake, but the whole office was kind of buzzing, trying to solve for that time crunch, and no one told me about the booking being the reason (understandable). But, I am kind of a very anxious person naturally, and I was honestly having a hard time managing my anxiety after about 20 minutes of that. I was picking up on the fact that I was very inconvenient. the staff was genuinely doing their best to insulate me from that, but... Anxiety is contagious, and I felt like a kid in time out who isn't sure why everyone's mad at him. I mentioned to Cola at one point, that I had some anxiety issues and just kind of felt stressed in the moment -- she picked up 100% on where I was at, and she really, really, really.... REALLY went very, very far to make sure that I knew the situation wasn't because of me, it was just a scheduling blip, it would be fine, etc. But, I know for a FACT that this saint of a human stayed 25 minutes past close, with her life on pause waiting for her... JUST because she cared about me personally, and wanted to make sure I felt confident and good about the situation. Cola, I hope you stumble across this at some point. You made a big impact on me, and I hope that you feel very, very highly valued and appreciated at Vold. You really took me from "I gotta get out of here" to "You know what? Maybe I'm just being anxious and I should stay and finish the appointment" with no more than 1 or 2 words, and a **genuine** caring demeanor that can only ever come from the heart. You're the best! More

Friendly, made my 11 year old daughter feel extremely comfortable, and lowered her anxiety. Dr. Napier was thorough and great! We only waited 5 minutes in the lobby (I had not even finished filling out the paperwork ). Great, courteous staff. Will definitely recommend! More

There is a Dr. (I think? maybe Technician?) here named Nickole, who goes by Cola; she is one of the most special humans I've met, and I give this place 5 Stars because they are lucky enough to have and keep her there. I am a new patient and I chose Dr. David Hurd for my eye exam. David is a Christian and we became friends through our church. David did an outstanding job on my exam! He is very patient and kind and always has a great smile. I would recommend Dr. Hurd. He took the time to explain what was going on with my eyes and recommendations. He walked me through the office and introduced me to the lady who would be fitting me for glasses. I never felt rushed. This office is beautiful, comfortable and the equipment id state of the art. Dr. Hurd is a former Arkansas Razorback Football Player and also played for the NFL Miami Dolphins. He is a tall strong dude! I am proud to call him my friend as well as my new Dr. i also want to mention Presley who is my Optometric Tech. She was amazing, good at her job. She new how to do every test and kept talking with me and explaining each test. Very, very nice young woman. I really appreciate staff that are knowledgeable and customer focused. She made me feel like family and I was a new patient. I will definitely request her the next time I come in! More

This is the best eye doctor appointment I’ve ever had. Starting with the ladies at the front desk, they were very welcoming and cheerful. I was taken back by an assistant named Presley. She was absolutely wonderful! She was sweet, kind and very thorough. She listened and related well even as my somewhat lengthy medical history was confusing. Dr. Hurd was nice and was able to get my prescription better than previous doctors. Barb was my check out person and, again, I was pleasantly surprised. She was great and answered all my questions. She personally walked me over to their glasses department so I could see what glasses were in my budget. But there was no pressure to buy. GREAT! More
