Dr. Kim Santillan is a board-certified Optometrist committed to delivering exceptional and personalized eye care, with a focus on dry eye, ocular disease, and pre/post-operative eye care.

Meet Dr. Santillan

Dr. Kim Santillan is a board-certified Optometrist and a proud member of the Vold Vision team. Her overall goal is to provide meaningful and comprehensive eye care to all patients and utilize her knowledge to better educate patients on their ocular health. She is also dedicated to assisting our Spanish-speaking patients, as she is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for helping others.

Dr. Santillan has special interests in dry eye, ocular disease, and primary care. In addition to being bilingual in Spanish, Dr. Santillan has an amazingly kind, warm and caring personality. Her ability to connect with patients is remarkably special. Dr. Santillan has also made significant contributions to Vold Vision’s clinical research department, coordinating various FDA clinical trials focused on cataracts and glaucoma. Dr. Santillan is passionate about providing excellent patient care and educating her patients to improve their overall ocular health.

Dr. Santillan’s educational journey began at the University of Arkansas, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology, along with minors in Spanish and Human Development-Family Sciences. Prior to attending Optometry school, Dr. Santillan gained valuable experiences as an Ophthalmic Technician at Vold Vision. She then pursued her Doctorate at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Additionally, Dr. Santillan has volunteered locally and globally, serving several communities with her medical expertise.  

Dr. Santillan earned her Doctorate of Optometry (OD) from Southern College of Optometry in 2022. During her training, Dr. Santillan completed rotations at The Eye Center in Memphis, TN, Dr. Richlin, OD & Associates in Beverly Hills, CA, and Vold Vision. Her extensive training focused on ocular disease, dry eye, pediatrics, vision therapy, pre and post operative cataract surgery care, and glaucoma management. Dr. Santillan’s passion lies in dry eye, ocular disease, and pre/post operative care.

Dr. Santillan is originally from Russellville, AR. Outside of her clinic work, she enjoys staying active, reading, traveling, and calling the Hogs with her Fiancé, Wesley. They enjoy hiking with their two dogs, Bear and Baloo, and admiring the stunning scenery NWA has to offer. Dr. Santillan also enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.
