Local Optometrist First in State to Place Toric Intaocular Lens
A Fayetteville optometry office is the first in the state to place a toric intaocular lens.
Dr. Steven Vold of Vold Vision placed an Implantable Collamer® Lens in the eyes of Lysney Moats to correct both her myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism, according to a press release issued by Vold Vision.
“Before Lynsey’s procedure she could only see fingers placed right in front of her without the aid of her contacts, and even with contacts, her best vision was 20/30 in one eye and 20/25 in the other. She now sees 20/20, and is glasses free,” the press release says.
